• Feb 06 - Purchase a 1997 Defender 110 2.5 L TDi....."best Valentine present Vicki ever had" (Vicki's words, not Nick's)

 Cape Town

• Feb 06 - Go on a 2 week holiday to Cape Town and start to plan the trip in more detail

• Mar 06 - Refining vehicle prepration specification and budget
• Mar 06 - Decided to choose Foley Specialist Vehicles to fit out our Landy
• Mar 06 - GPS arrives and practicing off road driving & navigation
• Apr 06 - Nick resigns from work - Its starting to get very real !
• May 06 - The Landy conversion is in full swing at Foley SV
• May 06 - Enquire about the Carnet at the RAC, our site gets posted on Africa-overland.net
• July 06 - Landy comes back from Foley & 1st meet up with overlanders in London
• July 06 - Nick starts running his own consultancy business
  
• July 06 - Weekend away in Dorset UK, use the roof tent for the first time ;-)
  
• Aug 06 - Off roading on Salisbury Plain UK - A great day!! See photo album
